(No I don't mean My Heart Will Go On)

I was taught this song in Kindergarten and had totally forgot all the lyrics but a few lines. Does anybody remember this song. I find it odd that I was taught this at that age.

I don't know for sure but wasn't there a sister ship? Starts with an O. Just a sec lemme google it...

HMHS Britannic and RMS Olympic

It was the Olympic I was thinking about. I don't know anything about it though, whether or not is sunk.

Maybe you are right and they just reffered to it as Titanic II in the song...I am a huge watervessel fanatic, I know just about everything there is to know about the Fitz (Edmund Fitzgerald), but this one has me stumped.

Can't seem to find anything about a Titanic II. As for her sister ships....the Olympic had a long illustrious career...the Britannic was sunk by a mine, with 30 deaths.

Well, the only clues in the song are Titanic II (which may not have been the actual name) and "So they launched it with a cheer, and it sank right off the pier." That means they launched her and down she went...wow, talk about an epic fail haha.

Sarel Gous is to brief Belfast City Council's development committee on plans for the Titanic II.

Former Belfast Lord Mayor, Assemblyman Dr Ian Adamson, who had discussions with Mr Gous on his previous visit, said: "This is not a pipe-dream.
"The magic of the Titanic name would make this the cruise ship the rich and famous would want to sail on.
"Cruising is the last resort of the millionaire in the 21st century, but all cruise ships seem to look the same. "Titanic II, bigger and better than the original, but with its own famous grand staircase and luxury, would be a winner."

ok from what I can find, no boat (sister ship) sank that quickly off the dock. BUT the sister ships of the titanic all had hard lives.
the ocean liner Britannic, which sank during World War I off the coast of Greece, the victim of either a bomb or a torpedo.

After the war she returned to commercial service, and despite her early mishaps, she gained an affectionate following and earned the nickname "Old Reliable".

Her bad luck returned on 15th May 1934 when the Olympic collided with the Nantucket lightship with the loss of 7 lives.

Her last voyage ended in Southampton on April 12th 1935, on 13th October 1935 she arrived Palmers Yard on the Tyne for breaking up. Her pitiful remains were finally towed to Inverkeithing on 19th September 1937 for final demolition.

Fittings from the Olympic were sold off at auction, and to this day it is possible to see them. Notable locations include the White Swan Hotel, Alnwick, England and the famous "Honour and Glory Crowning Time" wood carving can be seen in the Southampton Maritime Museum.

so it seems the White Star company just had bad luck, Titanic being the worst of it
