I found a poll asking at what age would you let your daughter wear a thong. Although my daughter is just getting to that age, I feel it is an important issue which many parents have an actual opinion on. I would love to get the personal opinions of different parents on this subject.

So at what age you think a daughter should be able to wear a thing?

Also, I find it so interesting how many parents come here and the crazy first posts they make! Introduce yourself! Thongs are not a huge aspect of parenting IMO!

That's cause you don't have DD's who want to wear them, I ve seen kids as young as 11-12 wearing them, I would prefer if mine didn't wear them, but if they are then they need to wait until they are 16 and buy them themselves.

When she's a teenager who has the money to pay for one herself. What underwear she's wearing dosent exactly fuss me.

Yeah, when mom is folding them, or they bend over and the strings are showing out the top, and the to small t-shirt goes up, in tight enough jeans where there should be a panty line there isn't except for the top triangle. Maybe I am just more observent then most but it isn't hard to notice.

Most teenagers work, babysit, get money on the holidays, they can afford a $2.00 pair of underwear if they really want them. And you should care, thongs are all about sex appeall, in the beginning, it definalty isn't about comfort cause they take a little getting used to, any time a teen is trying to up their appeal to boys a parent should be concerned.

In general, I would say about the time she starts high school, so 14-15. When they're in high school, they're choosing their own clothes, so why not let them choose their own underwear?

I have a niece who is 13 and her mom bought her a thong to wear with her dress pants, because a panty-line showed with any other underwear. I don't have a problem with this.
