Kaytee, maybe point to them that it appears that someone connected with them is spamming this forum. I doubt that PBS would endorse this kind of advertising tactic.
Hypothetically, If I were connected with this show\product and in a position to fire people, I would consider this type of on-line activity to be a firing offense, not a just a reprimand. It is unethical professional behavior because it involves
intentional deception. Harmless or not, it is deception.
Of course, it could just be just about anybody and not directly connected to the show, but has some self interest in promoting the product. Maybe an outside consultant hired to increase the site's activity using all kinds of indirect methods such as the use of "personas". It is deceptive, but not truly trying to scam anybody.
My comment to Melody: Shame on you. Who wants to buy a product that is being promoted by a deceptive person? It taints the product. If you are professionally connected to the product indirectly\directly, I to beleive you should be fired for this kind of unprofessional behavior.
