yeah I kknow what you mean, I was grossed out by the thought when my daughter was born, probably because I was young and didn't know better but now it seems like the only way to go. Besideds the benifit for baby, I can't believe how much money I've wasted on the disposable

oh yeah, i know what you mean. We were paying around 40 a month for disposables. Now we pay around 10 every 5 weeks for disposables. They are still useful to use. Nichole sleeps in one every night. THey do hold moisture away from babies skin, so since she is in it for 12 hours, I feel better having it pulled away from her skin. Also they are good if your little one has diarrhea. Then you don' thave to worry about stains and such. I have not had that problem yet. But friends say when they have to use antibiotics they use sposies.

I make my own wipes out of household things and papertowels. But I imagine just baby washrags and a solution of water and baby bodywash and lotion would work just fine.

They sure do. You can buy nice fleece wipes (or make them yourselves) I always felt the paper towels were just to rough on her sking. That is why we use soft wash cloths. Not as rough as paper towels, not as soft as fleece ones.
We use warm water ( to dissolve the aloe), aloe (obviously) a squirt of baby shampoo and presto!

I hope the experience goes well for you!!! It did for us! I love my diapers now and some of them are old and have been through3 kids before mine and they work perfect. Sure I have had a few leak here and there but no more then a disposable would!! Let me know how it goes
