 | SoapNuts - The Soap that Grows on Trees | | Hello parents. My name is Terry Le Blanc and I am the CEO of Soapnuts Canada, the marketer of soapnuts in Canada. After speaking with the administrator of this board, I have been given permission to address all the parents regarding a new product for the washing of your laundry.
I wish to speak with you all without trying to give you a sales pitch, but as a fellow consumer who has found a truly all natural way to get your laundry clean without the use of chemical laundry detergents.
The product is called Soapnuts and they grow in nature from what is called the Chinese Soapberry Tree. The cleaning agent is called a saponin and has been used for thousands of years, yet we are only finding out about it, in North America, as of late.
Why should we check out this product? Because of its natural cleaning ability, its environmental and safe nature, its ability to draw out all the chemical compounds from our clothes from the Tide we may presently be using and in particular for its hypoalergenic way it protects us. It is extremely good for mothers who use cloth diapers as it protects the babies from rashes due to the chemicals in our laundry detergents.
I have asked the site admin to allow me to present this information to you so that you can check the product our for yourself and see what it is all about. You can view the information on my web site at www soapnuts.ca
If you have any questions, I will be glad to respond to them as best as I can.
Please take the time to check out the product and drop me a line if you wish. My e-mail address is on the site, or you can post here.
I appreciate and thank the admin for allowing me to inform you all about Soapnuts
Thank you
Terry Le Blanc |

 | Re: SoapNuts - The Soap that Grows on Trees | | Thank you for your questions. SoapNuts are very safe for babies, children and anyone who is alergic to detergents. What happens with the cleaning agent saponin, is that it draws the chemicals out of the clothes and leaves the natural cloth against the skin.
With diapers and the commercial detergents it does the same. It is well known that commercial powdered detergentas mostly contain filling agents. Tide, for instance contains about 50% of it. The filling agents cause the diapers to not be as absorbant as when they were new. This aids in causing diaper rashes. The Saponin will take that all out and after a couple of washes will cause the diapers to become more absorbant and flufier. It brings the diaper back to its original, well almost original, state. All depends on how old the diapers are and if the detergents have destroyed the fabric of the diapers or not.
As for the nut thing. They are really not a nut. They are part of the Leachy family which if really a fruit tree. That is another reason when it preventc a reaction. As they are not a nut, they do not bring about the rreactions that nuts do. If is really a fruit tree. But the product has always been referred as a soapnut.
I hope that answers your questions. If you have any further questions, please ask.
Thanks again
Terry
PS: The soapnuts do not degrade your clothes. They help to restore them. They protect the color fastness of the clothes and do not deteriorate the fabric, like commercial detergents do.

 | Re: SoapNuts - The Soap that Grows on Trees | | KayTee: Thank you for responding. Yes please do look into it.
On another string post Jtee asked about some differences and if I used different products. Like most of us, my family has always used commercial products, like Tide, Cheer, etc and gave no thought as to what we were placing into our laundry and on our skin. But like many, we change and as I got older (don't ask) I also got a bit wiser and began doing a bit of research.
One of the things I found was that most commercial detergents do not have the ingredients listed on the boxes. And if they do, you don't know what they are anyway. For instance, we have all heard of the detergent SA8 from Amway. We have all heard of how great the product works and that it is concentrated, so we do not have to use very much. Have any of you checked what is in the product?
I have placed a pdf file on my web site for you to look at that shows the ingredients of SA8. In it I researched some of the product names and placed what I found next to some of them. I believe you will be just as alarmed as I was at exactly what is in the product.
Check out www soapnuts.ca/SA8ingredients.pdf
SA8 is just one product that uses chemicals to wash our clothes, but what exactly do the chemicals do to us?
Thanks again for allowing me to express myself to you all. I do hope you will look into your own detergent to see what is in it, then look at soapnuts and see what is in that. Compare for yourselves.
