And yet another very good reason for gun safety... CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say the parents of a 5-year-old South Side boy who accidentally shot himself in the head Saturday evening have been charged. The boy's father, 26-year-old Cortney Rogers Senior, and the mother, 27-year-old Dorothy Hayden, are charged with endangering the life and health of a child. They are scheduled to appear in court on May 19. Police say young Cortney Rogers Junior found the gun, believed to be a 45-caliber revolver, in a bedroom inside the family's apartment in the Washington Park neighborhood. abc7chicago.com: Parents of boy who shot himself charged 5/04/08
