Children: No children yet. Hoping to learn all I can before they arrive :) | Re: Adoption | | That is not so in most states. There is a massive adoptees rights protest in June 2008 in Louisiana. Just one of (most) of the states where they won't ever be unsealed. I am so glad you live in one of them that does allow it! |

I'm going to look for the list, I've got to make the commute home, but I'll be back with more info about that |

Children: One boy 8, twin girls 7. | Re: Adoption | | My husband was adopted through Catholic Charities. He is allowed his information if he sends in a written request. He does not want to do it. I wanted it for medical records but he really doesn't want to know so I respect his wishes and never pushed the issue. On his birth cert it does list the name of his adoptive mother as his biological mother. The people that adopted him weren't even from here. His father came over from Scottland and was a Dr. His mother was from England who was a concert pianist and they had no problem and unlimited money so they were handed a baby boy. They went on to adopt three more. Spoiled brats, all three of them but they are not close like a real family should be. The father worked worked worked and the mother took care of the children. That's how my dh still thinks it should be......LMAO...or so he thought. He woke up real quick. I would NEVER adopt outside of the US. I think as we have our own here we should help our own out first. How dare we adopt from China when there is a little American boy wanting to be loved? Being a surrogate you are paid $20,000 plus the surrogates medical bills. That's an excellant price for someone to carry your own child. I would have done it in a heart beat. Again, these are just MY opinions. |

I would urge you though, if you want to adopt in the U.S., adopt a child from the foster care system. A child who's parental rights have already been terminated. A child who REALLY has no parents, and who needs a home |

Plus, I would probably end up wanting to adopt them all |
