Well normally my period is nowhere in sight, so I take Provera for 5 days, and then usually get my period anywhere from 5-12 days after my last pill....But this cycle is different, we are pretty sure I did ovulate and am getting my period b/c of my symptoms- My boobs have been so sore and have grown a cup size since last week and I have had 3 neg pregnancy tests (2 hpt and 1 beta hcg). I'm not sure what brand it is and what dosage I take...I will be picking it up in a few hours and will let you know then. My doctor said since I am probably ging to get it very soon anyway...the Provera will just speed it up so to speak with the extra progesterone, that's why they think I will get it in a few days. So confusing isn't it!!?? UGH

I am just trying not to pay TOO much attention because I don't want to become one of those "baby-centric" women. I mean, this is what we definintley want, and will do what's necessary to try and get pregnant, but I still want the practicing part to be fun, and not only about trying to get pregnant, you know what I mean? |

 | Re: Grrrrrrrr | | I totally know what you mean...it's so easy to have a one track mind when it comes to baby making. But I think you have to let this process bring you closer instead of making it all about the baby, afterall, when all is said and done, it is still the two of you. I often have to remind myself of that.
Getting pregnant certainly isn't as easy as they told us in health class!

Children: Jamie (5) | Re: Grrrrrrrr | | No kidding! I'm kind of freaking out actually, because I thought getting pregnant would be easier and who knows if I've got infertility issues. Silly, I know, but that's what happens when one's got too much time to think.
We started trying "for real" in June after six months of not trying/not preventing didn't work. I'm not a fan of scheduled "practice", to be honest, but hopefully we'll have good results.

 | Re: Grrrrrrrr | | Not really...only to have sex regularly all the time, not just when you're ovulating...as long as he understands that there is so small a window that you can actually conceive...I'm sure he will be ok with the "planned" sex around those days!

Children: Jamie (5) | Re: Grrrrrrrr | | Try to do special things to help you get in the mood on the days you're ovulating, so you don't feel it's forced. It's awful when sex becomes a chore!

Children: One boy 8, twin girls 7. | Re: Grrrrrrrr | | I would say quit telling him all together and when YOU know you are ovulating then do something to get him in the mood. I know my husband felt so much pressure to perform that it was just an act and no longer enjoyable. So even if you lie and say "ok, lets just have sex for the sake of it feeling good" and then maybe things will happen!!
Your chances of you getting pg is greater when you are both climaxing. Have a drink and relax. Good luck !~~~~~~~~~baby vibes~~~~~~~ |
