Taking Provera and trying to conceive? I looked it up because I wasn't sure what provera was for, but I read this : "You should never take Provera during the first 4 months of pregnancy. During this formative period, even a few days of treatment with Provera might put your unborn baby at increased risk for birth defects. If you take Provera and later discover that you were pregnant when you took it, discuss this with your doctor right away."............

What if you get pregnant while on it??? ................

I wouldn't take that chance if I were you. ..................
When I got pregnant for my son Adam I thought I was 2 months furthur along than I was, because I had missed my period for 3 months before I found out...well, it turned out I was only about 1 month along and missing my period didn't have anything to do with me getting pregnant....it may have even helped. My first pregnancy I got pregnant WHILE on my period and 2 of my pregnancies were planned and perfect. I just think you should let your body do its thing naturally. With my planned pregnancies I got pregnant the first try...I would abstain for a couple weeks first, then I'd figure out when I was ovulating (if your period is messed up you can buy a kit at the drug store) and then when I was ready to get pregnant I'd do it every other day for about a week. With my peak ovulation day falling in the middle of that weak. Ha, then I'd lay around and not get up right away. Another thing, not sure how true this is but its always been the case for me and I've read it helps...make sure you "enjoy" yourself...the moving of the muscles helps the sperm find their way...and be on the bottom....and remember to take folic acid Oh, and I agree with musicmom, lie to your husband so he can relax, lol...I think she mentioned the climax thing too, lol, sorry, I know we're all adults but I still feel awkward saying things like this to other people. I didn't read every post so forgive me if I'm repeating other people. I did read something about clomid, good luck with that, maybe you'll get twins...and stop "practicing", lol, the more he builds up the better. .......
Good luck!

I know it's frustrating, but hang in there. DH and I are trying for #2 and it's so much more difficult than the first. Good luck!
