If we're in the car for a while I end up having to get off the road and fix it half way through the trip. It makes me wish at that point I could have afforded the britax

The seat belt is ok when she isn't in a mood about it. she's truely a drama queen though and she complains about the belt if she wants to be diff

As a CPS Tech, I'll add my two cents about the booster. Yes, fallon's DD is within the correct limits for her Graco Turbo booster. As fallon mentioned, the seat belt isn't buckled correctly. The shoulder belt needs to be threaded through the red shoulder belt adjuster by the head wings and the bottom portion of the shoulder belt needs to be under the arm rest, not over it. Until my kids were about 7 or 8, I always checked to be sure they buckled in correctly. Up until then they didn't always get it right.
fallon, it looks like you may need to higher the head rest on her booster a wee bit so that the shoulder belt will place correctly on her shoulder. If your vehicle head rest gets in the way, it's OK to remove it. |

Children: DD (10) and DS (12) | Re: Pumpkin Patch | | Just looked at the pic again. Is the lap belt even on? It's hard to tell because of where her arms are. It's a good idea to check kids before each trip to be sure they're buckled correctly.
(Now to figure out how to post pics here.) |

Children: DD (10) and DS (12) | Re: Pumpkin Patch | | Britax does have belt positioning boosters similar to the Graco Turbo booster. They also have harnessed car seats that go up to 65 and 80 lbs..
There are now more options than Britax for car seats that harness past 40 lbs. http://www.cpsafety.com/articles/Over40.aspx |
