Default any parents of premature babies?

Hi all,

I found something that I think anyone who is a parent (or friend of parents) of a baby that was born prematurely will appreciate, and I wanted to share. It's a homemade music video to the song "Wires" by the band Athlete. The song is about the singer's own experience with his baby being born prematurely, and someone has put together this video, set to the song.

I think that anyone who has gone through this will be able to relate.

best,
vanessa

thanks, my baby wasn't premature but he did spend his first 3 days in the NICU. I remember seeing all those tiny babies next to him, it was sad. The other mom's use to stop me in the washing room and say "hey aren't you the one w/ the 9lb baby?" It always made me feel bad

It doens't matter how big they are. Your baby was still in the NICU and you went through a lot

yeah, the thing is he was really quite healthy but at first his blood sugar won't stablize so they had him on IVs and monitors and things. It's hard to see your baby like that, and to have to spend time there is worse. At least I was still in the hospital with my baby. All those mothers had to leave their babies behind when they left, I'm not sure I could have handled that

I understand that. I couldn't handle them taking Nichole for a few hours. Main reason I won't do a hospital birth again if I don't have to

my girlfriend did a home birth right before I had Logan, her MIL was actually the midwife. I was jealous (not about the MIL part though), I'd do it if it was an option for me. Although than I wouldn't be able to steal the recieveing blankets from the hospital...lol
