I don't know much about vbac since I have only had a vaginal delivery. THe only thing I know is that in most military hospitals which our typically more for natural labors (less c-section rates, less women who have epidurals or drugs) also have a less rate of death to mother and child and also are usually breast friendly hospitals. Which means they don't give babies formula and if you decide to formula feed, then you have to bring your own. THey are also more likely to have a IBCLC (internationaly board certified lactation consultant) not just some nurse that had a 3 hour seminar and calls herself a lactation consultant. Anyways they are more likely going to influence the mom to VBAC compared to a c. but that is individual. And as I said I do not know much about c-sections or vbacs, so... take that for what its worth, not much lol

My wife is researching this, and is leaning towards natural child birth, but since she not pregnant yet, there is plenty of time for her to decide. First things first

Children: Starlight Arianai Jane was born 8/23/06 at 1:30 pm via C-Section. She's a goober!
Default Re: C-section or vaginal?

I had a c-section with my daughter because she refused to move down, though I was fully dilated. Not to mention that her cord was wrapped completely around her so when I would contract it would act as a boa constrictor on the poor girl.

I would have much rather dealt with the hell of vaginal birth then a c-section since (for me anyway) it took nearly twice as long to recover and it just hurt all the time.

It's only been a year since Arianai was born and the scar is still a bit tender at times, I don't understand why ANYONE would CHOOSE to have a c-section!

I agree. having a c-section that is medically necassary and having one by choice are totally different.
