Children: 1 boy, Nolan Kai | Re: Attachment Parenting | | I am obsessive about putting A&D ointment on Nolan's bottom every single time he gets a diaper change. It's so expensive but I'll do it until he is out of diapers if I have to but I don't want him to have a sore bottom. My niece had the worst diaper rashes I have ever seen so I'm trying to avoid the heartache lol.

 | Re: Attachment Parenting | | I used to always put Desitin on Oliver's bottom after he pooped. I too was paranoid of diaper rash. They are really hard to get rid of sometimes.

Children: Nichole | Re: Attachment Parenting | | well we used every kind you can find on the market, and after every change not jsut poops. every kind you can name we tried. The most expensive was a precsription one that was 42 bucks (after insurance paid the rest)
We ended up using London Frog (off the net) it is the best stuff ever made, only thing that worked. And it works for all different things. I even gave it to my friend to use on her 4 year old. She was getting heat rash between her thighs. It got rid of it in two days. She had if for months and nothing they did would get rid of it |

Children: 1 boy, Nolan Kai | Re: Attachment Parenting | | I've never heard of London Frog (goes off to search), some LOs just have sensitive skin though no matter what you use. I have to keep the thing that pads around the head in Nolan's carseat washed often or he gets a rash on his face.

 | Re: Attachment Parenting | | I was lucky Oliver never had sensitive skin. Even now when he bathes with me I use my bubble bath and he's fine.

Children: 1 boy, Nolan Kai | Re: Attachment Parenting | | We use that Physoderm(sp) stuff they sent us home with from the hospital for hair and everything. I have some of that J&J nighttime lavender wash but I'm scared to use it. I think it was on this forum I read a thread about how J&J products irritated a lot of babies skin.

Children: 1 boy, Nolan Kai | Re: Attachment Parenting | | Getting slightly back on topic, lol, this is from another parenting board I am on and it really makes a lot of sense and is another reason I'm so anti CIO. Quote: |
When babies cry and no one comes and helps, they have to lie to themselves to make it okay. They have to tell themselves, It's okay, I'm not really hungry. Or, It's okay, I'm not really cold/hot/in pain/wet/whatever. Can you imagine?

 | Re: Attachment Parenting | | I'm okay with CIO as long as the child over 6 months of age and as long as the mother CLOSELY follows her instincts. If the mother has no instincts, I don't recommend using this method.
