I also believe that it should be between the mother and child, and no one else. If one or the other is ready to stop, then it's time to stop. All three of mine nursed till they were almost two. They started eating solid food at age one, so from then on, most of their nursing was at nap time and bed time.

Children: Natalie is here and beautiful! | Re: The best age to stop breastfeeding. | | I'm expecting my first and plan to breastfeed as long as I can after I have to go back to work and school, but (and this may sound rediculous) I can't help but to wonder how breastfeeding for so long effects your day-to-day life and your sex life. Once you've been breastfeeding for 6 months, will you still leak randomly throughout the day? And this is kind of embarassing to ask, but can your husband even touch them without getting leaked on? |

Children: Nichole | Re: The best age to stop breastfeeding. | | it is not a silly question or anything like that. MOST woman do not leak after the first few months. i stopped by the time I was about 2 or 3 months pp. Now my friend is a working military mom and she pumps at work and urses when at home. Her dd is 9 months old. She does still leak, but only on the opposite side that she is nursing from.
As far as sex liofe goes, I have never been much on fondling of the breasts so to me it was never an issue, but even the times that it does happen. I have yet to squirt my husband. lol I hae threatened him with it though |
