Have you all heard about this?
What do you think? Did the cops act WAY to aggressivley or was teh student in the wrong?

Personally I think the taser was pushing things a bit. I the student didn't attack the officers in anyway or threaten them at all so the actions were wrong. I do however feel that the charges against him are valid. He did resist arrest and disturb the peace. There are other ways to get your voice heard. Seems to me the minute you step one foot out of line people stop listening anyways. If you want to be heard do it in a way the is going to make people want ot listen to you not cross the street when they see you coming, ya know.

I don' think he "disturbed the peace" I do think he overstepped by trying to resist arrest, he shouldn't have been arrested for asking a question. He didn't deserve to be arrested from what I saw and the reason he was "arrested" was ludicrous, but none the less he did resist when it was all said and done.
I do think Kerry should have stopped the officers from doing what they did. I mean he can't control teh tasering aspect, but he could have at least said, "thats ok officers we are fine" or something ya know?
I think its sad that it happened though

see and I agree that he should have had his say, I may even agree with a lot of what he was saying, I also think there was no need to call for the police, but the minute those officers were called in I think he should have stopped. He may not have been disturbing the peace up till that point but once the police were involved the whole thing turned into a disturbance. I do however think that the officers should also be charged with disturbing the peace

As they should be, they acted in the wrong and it's officers like that, who use excessive force that give hard working, good officers a bad name

they were not even real cops either. They wre campus security.

really, now that I didn't know!! I must have overlooked that fact. That's nuts. To me it sounds like these security gaurds where trying to make a name for themselves and ended up going way overboard
