could you explain to us your experience or field of expertise in this? Or is it simply because you saw a show one time?
Interesting though the amount of "straights", with little to no knowledge or understanding of anything to do with life outside their realm... they are saying its "so bad" .. yet people who have been RAISED in the various lifestyles saying .."wait...Ive lived it and its not bad ... Im "normal" ...
The amount of narrow mindedness and religion based thinking and decisions around here astound me. I dont know if its a reflection of the areas or what it is exactly ... but wow.
For two countries so close together... we sure are miles apart

Regarding freedom, remember that your freedom ends where mine begins.
Why is it that the gay movement has pushed for school districts to distribute gays books with tittles like "My Two Mommies" among elementary students. Don't I have the right to choose that my children don't read those books until they are old enought to undersand them?
If I follow your argument: Does it means that the gay movement is violating my freedom and my rights to choose what my children read? |

From the standpoint of my experiences in life, I think that ALL couples at the age of consent should have the right to a civil union, sanctioned by the government. Then the religious aspect of the "marriage ceremony/sacrament" could be optional, and each church could determine who was or wasn't eligible.

If I follow your argument: Does it means that the gay movement is violating my freedom and my rights to choose what my children read? | well then, there should be no in the library that could cause any type of conversation between parent and child. No more Tom Sawyer, no more Hartry Pooter (witch craft is evil; you know) no more books with single parents, heck no children should be allowed in the classroom that has only one parent, that might make it hard to explain to another child why they don't have a mommy and a daddy. Teachers better not get pregnant either, I don't want to explain where babies come from. |

Parents should absolutely have the right to choose.

Regarding the Civil Rights Movement , I haven't seen a gay person yet being denied the right to eat at a restaurant, or being sent to the back of the bus. As a matter of fact those rights already protect each one of us, not matter who your sexual orientation is. Sorry, no way it is the same thing. | You don't announce being straight to the world because you have nothing to gain. I bet every penny in my bank account if the situation were flipped, and you could not be married because you love men, you would be hollering just as loud as gay people are right now about how that's not right. It seems like you have a hard time doing this, but TRY to put yourself in someone else's shoes for a minute and just think about how you would feel.
And no, gays aren't denied at restaurants but in some parts of the country they can be killed for eating at them. And they aren't being sent to the back of the bus, but there are plenty of school aged children being teased and tortured on their school buses for their orientation. And yes, it IS the same thing. Straights are allowed to recognized their love with another person, and gays are not. That is denial of a civil liberty, no matter how you look at it.

Well by all means we should just lay down and accept it then. Things do not change unless you actively push forward to change them. That is all that is going on right now. Homosexuals see the need for a change and they are working towards it. Personally, PETA's little displays of ridiculousness are far more offensive to me than seeing two men or women marching together in a parade. And you say that you don't want to see that? Well I don't want to see straight people cleaning the back of each other's throats in public either. There is a difference between being tasteful and being in your face, and both sides of the fence have problems with the latter.

They are the one who separate themselve from the rest of the community. Why do they have "pride" parades and all that stuff? You don't see straight people celebrating being straight! They are the one who wants to be different and celebrate that difference!, yet on the other hand they want to be like the rest of the people. You can't have both. If you want to be treated equal, then start behaving like the rest of everybody. | Gay pride is one of my pet peeves. I agree with you completely. It's ridiculous. However, I know of many gay people that have the same feelings about it.
