I can't help but wonder what kind of a person takes her ex-husband to court to raise the support for a child that she had from cheating on same ex- husband. That just rubs me the wrong way.

It says that the mom and daughter left the jurisdiction which I think means they moved away.

Assuming he doesn't have visitation due to location given the fact that he isn't the bio. dad, and the bio dad hasn't been held accountable is it fair that he should be for someone elses responsibility?

I think the bio. dad should be hit for all the back child support.

I agree if you are paying child support then you should have legal rights to the child as well. Legal is legal. You cant say you have an legal obligation then trun around and say you have no legal rights.
I really hate the courts they will ramb you up the bun holieo and then say it was all fair while the other person is using the courts to rub thier dirt in your face.
Well I dont know what state that woman moved to but i hope she knows in order to recieve or change childsupport in another state she has transfer her case to that state. When its transfered everything can start from the beginning and he can take custody from her if he so decides or have it ordered he has nothign to do with the child.
if she didnt transfer case he can legally take the kid back to the state he is living in or press kidnapping charges against her if she did not file with the courts her wherabouts or change of address.
he needs an attorney that is not scared to rock the boat and get signatures to throw some judges of thier seats.
If anyone ever finds one let me know that attorney is hired if they are legal for Alaska, California, or Texas. But mostly California and Alaska.

No necessarily. When I moved to Wisc, I wanted the case transferred. It was not. I had to have a lawyer in Ind working on it while I was in Wisc.
This seems to be the standard, as our PC reports that she has somebody from New Mxico that she works with - but the dad lives here and the case is still held here.

hmm wierd I still pay child support to alaska but when my husband to Calif he had it transfered there to change child support amount but cali has not changed it yet. Though we did go through everythign again that had already been litigated on and i lost more priviledges than what i had before. Californai said it could be relitigated on because they are a different state and they needed to make the determination. So maybe its different by state who knows. Still could be checked out though.

I think the situation is terrible. Shame on him for hurting a child to save some money. He made his decisions, suck it up and live with it. And now make him pay extra to cover the kid's therapy.

Shouldn't the bio-dad shouldn't be held accountable?

^^ If it were 13 years earlier, then I would say yes.
This guy is the grownup and made his choices and the kid shouldn't suffer because of them.

I agree...he choose to take responsibility of the child and claim her as his own. He should not be allowed to turn his back on her now because they split.
