jenilouise-

I also babysit at home just so I can be a SAHM. Never thought of the WFHM in my last comments. I really enjoy watching these kids. My house does get a little crazy at times, like the day school is out. My kids and the kids that I watch are all pretty good so I can still do everything else a SAHM has to do.

Good luck with the business! vbmenu_register("postmenu_9941", true);

I am a working mom. I have always worked other than maternity leave. I find it makes me a more patient mom being away from my kids part of the day. I think it's a choice every parent/family needs to make for themselves. If I could financially stay home, I would probably choose to work part time - however my husband was recently laid off so right now he is the stay at home parent!

And you should not to be made to feel guilty over you wanting to work. If it makes you a better mom, then that is the way to be. I am a better mom because I stay home as compared to the mom I would be if I worked.

Thanks for the good luck wishes. I am excited. Even if it fails I'll be happy because I tried. One thing I made sure of is that we are going to do some good also. We have one thing we are doing for the troops and another for children both of which will be completely not for profit. That makes it even more important to me. I don't wanna jinx it though.

Me too. I am a very proud sister of a soldier and in doing my genealogy I have found we have a rich military history on both sides which makes me feel proud.

I would be proud as well. I have a brother serving in Germany right now with the Army and my little brother was killed in Iraq in 2005. So it hits home. My dad is also a retired Marine

My brother served in Afghanistan in 2005 and was injured in a training excersize after he got back. He is about to be medically discharged. I am so sorry about your little brother. I realize everyday that my family is one of the lucky ones.
