Personally, I'm allergic to the stuff. I found out in highschool. Vomiting, big red itchy hives... not much fun.

It is not possible to become unconscious from smoking cannabis. |

Too much smoke + not enough oxygen = passing out.
Ya think someone fell asleep at a concert??
oh, and HM reminded me. I'm allergic to some kinds of it. (Not others.) No hives, just wheezing. When I lived in an apartment building where one of my neighbors toked, it would come through the bathroom fan and into my apartment. I hated it.
JCarter, are you interested in any other aspects of parenting? Or just pot? |

It is not possible to become unconscious from smoking cannabis. | It is possible. I know this because it happened to ME at a rock concert when I was 17. Not something I'm proud of. |

As long as it's illegal they should not do it. Same goes with drinking and smoking. It's not possible to be a do as I say parent. You must be the best example possible for your kids.

- Cannabis has never caused a single death - Alchohol has caused 300,000+ per year.
I find that most people that fear cannabis do not actually know the facts - most just listen to the propaganda fed to them by their government. I think cannabis is the #1 cash crop in the USA?

OK first no deaths from POT lets see know a guy who lost his brother when he wreck his car when he was high. Also know a girl whose brother shot his best friend after a wake and bake. The same kinds of deaths that are blamed on booze can just as well be blamed on weed.
Second I live in KY and I know it is the states largest cash crop. I know alot about it and I would agree it is not anymore harmful then getting drunk, but you can teach a child to respect a fine wine or a good beer with out them getting drunk. You cannot teach a child how good weed is with out them getting high. So the booze=weed thing is null and void.

And if you get so high you "fall alseep" nod off whatever you call it its still passing out same as when your drunk. Passing out is not crash to the floor face first but I have seen that done

Children: Two boys, Alexander (3) and Ryan (6 months) | Re: Why not smoke Cannabis? | | I tried pot once, didn't care for it and never did it again. Which is actually surprising since most of my friends at the time were heavy pot smokers.
I hope my children won't do it. But it would not surprise me if they tried it. I do plan on educating them about it and other drugs, including alcohol, so they can make a responsible choices when they are confronted by these situations in the future. |
