 | Re: 2 yr old very whiny? | | He just started acting like this only about 2 weeks ago, he has never been like this never whines or anything!! Hopefully it is just a stage.
Do you just continue to ignore them when they whine like that? |

Children: DD (10) and DS (12) | Re: 2 yr old very whiny? | | BTDT with both kids. Do I ignore it? Depends why they're whiny. If they're sick, I give them extra TLC. Otherwise I'll say, "Sorry, I don't respond to whining," and then I ignore them. If they don't get the message I'll whine back to them and exaggerate so they realize what it sounds like and how annoying it is.

Children: Nichole | Re: 2 yr old very whiny? | | lol Trina, I do that too!!
Yes if she is sick or just very tired but we are someplace that she can't go to sleep at, then I usually just spoil her in a sense. Now if we are home and she is just whiny, regardless if she is tired, then I ignore it or go to her level and tell her very directly "stop whining, if you want me to answer you I need you to say it without whineing" Even at 2 she gets that and will usually calm down and say it right |

Children: 4 Year Old Daughter | Re: 2 yr old very whiny? | | Ever noticed that after they have been sick, they keep playing the sick card after they get well to get all that special attention?

 | Re: 2 yr old very whiny? | | He only does it when we are at home, if we are out he is fine. I think he is just so busy that when we are home he just gets bored and whines.
The bad part is he wont talk yet, he will be 2 in august and he can say words but he wont tell you what he wants!!
And he shouldn't be sick I wouldn't think because this has been going on now for like 2 weeks! His molars is the only thing I can think of? |
