My 3 year old daughter and 8 month old son are coughing moderately. I have health insurance threw work, but I was just wondering at what point should I take them to the doctor? They are both in good spirits, eating like normal, nothing really seems out of ordinary except they are coughing like they have a cold. Should I just get some pedialyte and call it good? Any tips would be great. I am a single dad and don't have a mom around to help out and I don't know all this stuff yet. | ||

Personally, I would wait a day or two and see if it gets better or worse. Sounds like a cold to me, which the doc will do nothing about.

I agree I would give it up to four days of moderate coughing with no other symptoms before I would go to the doctor. I think allergies can cause coughing also. I hope they feel better soon.

The coughing has pretty much stopped. I think they are okay now I really love this forum. How nice of ya'll to give me advice and then even check back with me!!! I appreciate this forum very much. You are all helping me to learn to be a good father Thanks again!!! | ||
