Children: Two boys, Alexander (3) and Ryan (3 months) | Sleeping through the night | | My youngest is starting to sleep for longer and longer stretches at a time after his last feeding for the day. He's usually at 6 hours now, the other day he even went 7 hours. Now my problem is when he takes his last feeding. It's typically around 8 PM at night. So going 6 hours he's waking up at 2 AM, so I still don't really feel like I'm getting any sleep. I didn't have this problem with my oldest. When he was that age, his last feeding was usually at midnight and he'd get up at 6 AM.
Anyone have suggestions for how I can get my youngest to take his last feeding later at night?
I don't know if this has an impact, but he's bottle fed.

I'm happy he's sleeping at least 6 hours, I just wish I could use that to my advantage and get 6 hours straight sleep as well. I'm just going off the experience of my other child and as I mentioned, he was about the same except, it was later at night, so I would get more hours of sleep at a time. Rather than a couple, wake up, feed, then a couple more.

LOL! | Sigh, I guess I will have to wait it out and thank my blessings for how he already is. Although, he did sleep until 4 AM last night--woohoo! I'm probably jumping the gun anyway, a lot will change over the next few months anyway.

I think I will try this tonight. I had never heard of this, but a quick google search later and it sounds like a great thing to try.

Children: Nichole | Re: Sleeping through the night | | yay I would say at 2 months I wouldn't want to go more then 6 hours between feedings, that seems like a lot to me. Of course my child didn't sleep through the night till she was umm... well it was a month ago or so! lol
SHe stopped nursing at night around a year though |
