I have now written a few threads, and they have helped so much. Thought I would throw this out and hope that someone is in the same boat as me. My little boy, 4 years old, actually gets an erection and will start playing with it when it is like this. He hides it, because he is embarrased, but will go somewhere I am not, and play with it. He also has a little giggle when he is hiding it. Is this normal for a 4 year old? He really has been doing it for over 2 years now. | ||

We live in Costa Rica, so he spends a lot of his time just in his boxers before bed, when it usually happens. So it is kind of different then? How old is your son? | ||

I would say it's totally normal for little guys to play with themselves. BTW, Costa Rica is the best place on earth IMO! | ||

Totally normal. Tell him it's OK, but needs to be done in private.  My DH's parents told him his eye sight would go bad if he played with himself too much. Imagine his horror when he needed eye glasses in Kindergarten. Grrrrr.... | ||

Nah they just discover themselves and get curious. There's nothing wrong with it, but you could tell him it's yucky to touch his privates all the time if he's not washing his hands. Like, I mean mention germs and that it's kinda gross. But not wrong. Just slightly unsanitary.
