Children: 2 boys - 7yo and 3yo | 7 YO Boys...grrrr - the rant | | I love my eldest...I keep telling myself that.
He's so grown up in so many ways, I lose sight of the fact he's only 7. He's often great help with his little brother, he's respnsible with his stuff, he cares about others...what more could I ask for?
This morning, he's in the kitchen, ostensibly having breakfast, and I come out and he's attempting to put BOTH of his feet into ONE of my shoes...grrr. I managed not to yell, I managed not to lose it completely...the boy has an issue with shoes, seems like he's always messing with someone elses shoes...
I need to remember how lucky I am to have a happy, healthy well adjusted child and remember that he's going to do stupid s&^t simpy because he's 7. I was a 7yo boy once (in the days right after mud was invented, right before chalk) you'd think I could empathize more.
*deep cleansing breath....* |

Children: Debralyn 10/21/02, Logan 3/19/07, and Madeline 7/10/09 | Re: 7 YO Boys...grrrr - the rant | | haha, I'm right there with you...nearly 7 yr old girls aren't much better and like you I tend to forget she's still so young sometimes. It's hard when they're so good and smart about so many things. When the dumb stuff comes up you feel like you're losing you kind. Right now we're dealing with lying

I think chaos is pre-programmed into kids. And it is our will that gets tested. The things I could tell you guys that my kid have done.

It's about respecting other people's stuff. He has a fit if his brother so much as touches his stuff....sorry, don't mean to get all worked up about this again, grrrr, but the new rule is "no messing with anybody elses shoes" and respect other's stuff - period! |
