 Children: 3 kids, 1 boy 7, boy girl twins 5 | Boy/Girl Twins in Kindergarten | | Hi all,
I am new to this site. I have boy/girl twins who are 5. My daughter is social as can be and is loving Kindergarten. My son, is very intelligent - book smart - but not very social. I am considering separating them from the same class as my son is having some behavioral issues. Any advise? |

Children: 3 kids, 1 boy 7, boy girl twins 5 | Re: Boy/Girl Twins in Kindergarten | | I know that is probably the correct answer, it is difficult to do. But at this point, when my son is upset...it makes my daughter upset. She protects him and I think it's starting to limit both of them.
Our school obviously doesn't have a policy yet... |

Children: Nichole | Re: Boy/Girl Twins in Kindergarten | | Have you tried googleing it? I ask because they just did a big special on the news like a few weeks ago about twins in the same classes. Some of the parents were against it others were for it. I am not sure if I would want my hypothetical twins seperated. Part of me says they should be together because of the special bond twins share, part of me says seperate them so they can learn to be individuals. ITs a tough on!!
Welcome to the board btw |

I am leaning toward separating them. I think it will do both of them some good not to be compared. Which is much easier said then done! I've had 5 years of practice...this is the first twin set their teacher has had. |

Children: Isabella (9), Josephine (8), Hannah (5), and Natalia (7 months) | Re: Boy/Girl Twins in Kindergarten | | I would seperate them too. It gives them each an oppurtunity to be themselves and not be compared to eachother.
