Children: 4yo girl 1yo boy | Dummy | | I'm frustrated today. My normally very intelligent 4yr 8mon old DD is acting like the biggest dummy today. She's been acting like she cant understand any simple command. Dont pick up your brother....5 min later....found trying to pick up her brother and put him on the quad. Uugghh. I just want to say why are you acting like such a dummy today? Thats not constructive at all I know. Focus. Listen. Take a deep breath. Am I going crazy or is she just having a new phase? I'm considering teaching her a few yoga moves to use during time out. Any suggestions/ideas?

 | Re: Dummy | | I am starting a first time club. As a member of the first time club you have to be able to do what you are asked the first time you are asked. Every time my son does something asked the first time I will put a sticker on a square on the chart. The chart is a grid of 30 squares. When all the squares on the chart are filled he will become a member and earn a reward. It can be as simple as going to the park, ordering a pizza or renting a favorite movie. |

Children: Natalie is here and beautiful! | Re: Dummy | | A friend of mine just started a reward program with her 5yo daughter where she earns Monopoly dollars for certain things - listening, sharing, helping her little sister with something - and she can trade her bucks in for rewards - like a trip to monkey joe's or the park or having a friend spend the night.

Lol.

Children: 4 yr old goof ball | Re: Dummy | | Our four year old has days like that and we think she is just testing her boundaries. If you tell them something ten times before you discipline them it tells them that they can get away with doing it nine times.
