My youngest stepson (12) is offically growing up, DH is in shock I think. He's got his first "big school" girlfriend. It's cute I think, and so innocent, well for a little while longer I hope.

As long as he doesn't end up like the 15 year old... goes through gf's like he changes his underwear.

lol at the last part. Wow I think I would be in shock myself actually. I can't believe mine is 17 months, and she is still in the months to determine age kinda thing. Not years yet!!!!

Well a happy happy b-day to your step son. And tell him to stay away from girls lol. I actaully lov that age myself, when they are into the opposite sex but most of the time still innocent enough not to do anyhting that well... a 12 year should not be doing

Ohh uh no it's not his birthday, just first gf, kind of feels like he's growing up a little - not known him too long but you can see it in him.

I think I heard him talking to Casey about how to be nice to girls... she's probably teasing him, but that's what big sisters (and her gf) are meant to do right??

It's wonderful when they start growing up. You see their personal policies take effect so you can tell that they are not totally unaware of the world around them, and will interact with it as they see fit. It's a harbinger of a very bright future.

I saw them together earlier (getting off the bus) and they're really cute together. And yes it's nice to see him growing up.

aww I think I would cry. lol of course I think my baby is all grown up now and she is still a baby. lol
Of course I think will be a wreck when she no longer needs me. You know the time between about 14 and 22 when kids no longer need their moms?

I wish I could think it's cute, when my 13 yo talks about boys. She's still super shy with them, but she has liked a few and had boyfriends for an hour or two, before she breaks up with them. But, all I see when there are boys around, is a threat. Maybe it's because 9 out of the 10 girls I work with at my school have had children or have had abortions. I'm getting kind of jaded.

Wow, I can totally see where you're coming from, I'd be concerned myself. That's definately scary about how many have had children or abortions.

thats so scary. I was just watching Oprah or something like that with the women who got pregnant when she was like 16 I think. Didn't tell her mom and had the baby in the bathroom, stabbed him and then put him in a trash bag. That is just so not even worth mentioning how I feel about that. As I'm sure all of you willagree the thought of doing something to my child like stepping on her little toe is enough to upset me. ANyweys, its jsut scary that she couldn't tell her mother she was pregnant. I pray that my daughter will never be in a situation like being pregnant before being ready, but God I hope she can trust me enough to come to me with her problems.
