Children: Hannah, age 6
Default Kindergarten!

So, Hannah started Kindergarten this fall.

I was reading over the curriculum, and I am just amazed at some of the things that are on there!

This year they are learning about the difference between drugs and medicine, and who can give you medicine.

I know things have changed since we were all little, but does anyone else think it is a little early to be learning about drugs?

Maybe I am just being naive.

I don't think it's too early at all. In fact, it's along the same lines as teaching stranger danger and good touches vs. bad touches at a young age. All in the name of protecting our children.

Trina,

I do suppose you are right about all of that....I have of course taught her about stranger danger from a very early age.

And of course, it is important to learn about this stuff.....but this is hard!

She just seems so young! I don't think we learned anything about drugs until at least 4th or 5th grade.

Oh, I hear you! However, judging from my experience with my two kids, they always seem too young! They grow up so quickly.
