Default Re: Birthday gift for the big 1-7?

At that age I would just be taking mine out to dinner, especially if they already had all that stuff. Big birthdays here are age one, age 13 (teenager), sweet sixteen and twenty one.
They get a choice of a party or a theme park. They always choose the theme park. The girls are going to a water park next weekend. They have so many toys they do not need presents so it works for me.

Thanks everyone, his birthday was awesome!

Ryan had his friends over in the afternoon, and that's when we gave him his gifts! Rockband was a huge hit! Thanks so much Nikita!

They played Rockband all afternoon, then went out to supper. They came back here after and played Rockband again and his friends ended up staying over.

I had assumed that some of his friends already had Rockband, but out of the 5 guys who were here yesterday, none of them have it, so they were all excited to play. I think they'll be hanging out in my basement a lot this summer!

Also, Adam didn't tell me, but he had new rims put on Ryan's suv, so Ryan felt pretty cool driving around last night.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

That's awesome. I knew Rockband was the way to go.
