Us too. My kids already know all the songs and love them. We jam to rock songs all the time and they ARE cool.

Don't try to play football with them and their friends (wish my husband knew this before last weekend). He completely threw out shoulder.

Don't sign them up for dance classes without asking them, especially if it's a boy.

Don't drag them to 'leadership camps' without telling them at least a half-truth about where they're going. Then push them out of the car, and speed away while they stand there in utter disbelief.

-Never sign them up for anything that they didn't agree too

-Never try and pry about their personal personal information

-Never try to act or dress like them

-Never boss them around in situations where you don't 100% have to. Be stern, but show why.

Never join in on their parties.

One of my highschool friends, her mum used to do that all the time, a group of us would be sleeping over at her place, giggling, eating popcorn, talking about girly things, and her mum would come in and yell "LETS PLAY TRUTH OR DARE!" and said friend would be completely humiliated.
