I know you're trying to help, Amber, but instead of looking for blame... I'd really like a realistic solution.

A realistic solution? Stop drinking. Get rid of the alcohol. Set a good example for him. Our children are what we make them.

Hoss, LOCK away your booze, get involved with the organizations at the link MusicMom provided, stop the whoopings and take some parenting classes. BTW, making a child drink beer until they puke could get you put behind bars. |

 | Re: Need help with my sons drinking | | I am very serious and am desperate for help. I don't understand all your net-lingo, but I am 100% real and 100% in need of some serious parenting advice.
I shouldn't have to lock away my beer. That's like saying I should lock away my money if my kid steals from me. I need to figure out how to make boundaries. I don't know how to make the guy listen to me.
I need to figure out a way to teach him to control his urges.. I shouldn't have to avoid the problem by just locking away my beer. The problem is that he doesn't control himself... and you know what, I was brought up learning the rule of the belt. I turned out just fine, he can too. Maybe he needs more whooping.

By you staying here when obviously there is no one in your situation only shows you are trying to bait people into your ridiculous story. This site can not help you. I gave you the link and if you are serious then you should go there. |

It's all jumbled together and I don't know where to click.
If you guys cant help with parenting advice, then so be it. Thank you for trying.

-Hoss | You go to the al-anon board. Then you post your question the exact same way you did here. They are probably going to frown on you drinking as a parent but trying to get your own child whom you've taught to drink. They will help you none the less. You found your way here, it's the same over there. They also have an AA board |
