A parenting blog written by teens | | Hi, I'm Zen! Here's a quick introduction of myself: I'm fifteen years old and was a very, very difficult child. My mother bought many parenting books to try to deal with me, and one day I found and read through them. Much to my dismay, they all seemed to be written by old men embittered by raising many children. =] Okay, just kidding. The books were good, but not great. I decided that the best advice any parent can get about raising teenagers would be from the teenagers themselves.
Thus, I created teensonparenting.blogspot.com
I have two friends, Allison and Lucian, who work with me closely on running the blog, and I plan to have guest writers, both teens and adults, to contribute to the blog. I've just completed a new project: "What We Really Want to Say", in which I dashed around my school and asked random teenagers what they wanted to tell their parents but felt as if they couldn't because it was too awkward. I also asked them what parents could do that would make telling them that thing a lot easier.
Go take a look! I offer advice, challenges, and project results on the blog. It's targeted (obviously) toward adults that are parenting teenagers - which would fit wonderfully into this forum section. I honestly hope that you guys can learn something there. =] Have fun reading, and thank you if you do!
