Default Re: Should I let my 15yr old Daughter date an 18yr old??

as a former "bad girl" I feel the urge to weigh in here and remind the original poster that if you prevent this and turn it into a big deal she will still see the boy behind your back. What may have been a quick little sojourn may turn into romeo and juliet. As a compromise i would allow her to see the buy but put the same restrictions on things as i would if the boy were fifteen. This way loverboy will soon get tired of the realities of dating a kid. Sneaky but effective

Because we don't allow it, he is kind of backing off from her and now my daughter is so upset lately. She feels that she should be able to go on dates with him. I just don't know what to do. I'm her dad and I'm such a stick in the mud about her dating anyways, all we do is end up fighting about it.
He is a pretty good kid....I just don't totally trust him. But maybe just going to the movies occasionally would be better for both of them. I don't like her getting into a car with some one either.

I just don't know what to do. Its putting a strain on my family as well, becasue I won't budge and my wife and I don't agree on this together, except not letting her get into a car with him.

Please help. Your advice is so welcomed!!!!

Take care,
Rich
