My sister, who's an evangelical Christian, thinks orange is the "devil's color" because of its association with Halloween ("the devil's birthday"). She forbids any orange in her house or on her kids. I"ll order 3 pentagram shirts for my nieces, please.

People are really weird sometimes....

LMAO... the devil's birthday, huh?

Actually, my understanding is that rightside up is a pentacle, upside down is a pentagram. Helpful tips from HappyMomma on the occult.

I doubt it, Fallon. I've asked every evangelical I could whether they have a similar orange ban and 100% think my sister is nuts. She also thought that I should not work out of the home...when I was single and childless. I enthusiastically agreed and asked if she and her husband would support me while I stayed home and watched TV. Her only answer was that women shouldn't work out of the home, which she kept repeating like a robot. She also thinks there are huge parallels between her life and the life of Moses and wants to write a book about this (for the record, she is not Jewish/Hebrew or raised by pharoahs and she never sailed down a river in a woven basket, parted any major waterways, or lead any people to freedom). Scary or funny: you make the call.

Thanks for the occult tips, HappyMomma! I never thought about that before.

wow.. that's a little wierd. and kind of frightening for her kids.
my son's face is orange from the tomato sauce he's eating - is the devil calling him?

the not working is crazy - unless she's promoting arranged marriages so that you were married the minute you graduated high school and didn't ever have to pay for a thing yourself...

probably a little young to worry about! It's sad how soon it can happen today. R's daycare took down a photo from class when I pointed out that one of the kids was trying to flash gang signs. He's FIVE.
