Any suggestions on how to do this. She is going to be 15 in a few days.
Everything starts small, how about getting her to make some decisions at home? Parents must be careful in dealing with children of this age.

Let me share this story: " A mum wants his boy to be confident of himself but when the family went out for dinner one evening and the mum asked him what he wanted. he wanted to western food but the mum commented that it was too heaty. then he said he wanted spicy noodles but his mum suggested that it was too unhealthy. the boy got frustrated and decided to let his mum make the decision"

It's hard to build a girls self esteem when there is so much negative influence out there as far as peer pressure and such. Keep reminding her that she is special in all aspects...try to know who her friends are and keep reminding her to make good choices. She will find her way hopefully with your positive words in the back of her mind. Good luck

Remind her of her good qualities all the time, to the point where she takes them for granted. NEVER make negative comments about her appearance. For example, even if she isn't active/ eats junk, don't tell her she's fat- say you want her to be healthier.
