I'm sure where this should go but, my DH 18yo cousin gave birth yesterday to a healthy baby girl. Great news! She claims she did not know she was pregnant untill she went to the hospital. I've heard stories like this but it's really hard for me to imagine that at 8 months you would think the baby turning or kicking was gas. Her baby is being adopted by her uncle and his wife who have been unable to have a child of their own. | ||

wow...I would think she would have known by than also but at least the story has a happy ending

ummm... yay I'm with you, how do you not know when your boobs get sore and the whole 6 pounder rumbling around in there!!?? Thats great that it ends well though!

When I said 8months I was just thinking that at that point in my pregnancy I could barely tie my shoes, bending over was really uncomfortable. The baby was full term 7lbs 8oz 21 in. Shes a med size girl so I just dont get the whole I didnt know I was pregnant thing. I think she was living on the island denial. I know her choice to give the baby up for adoption is the best possible choice for her and the baby. She does not have the maturity or the support system she would need to do her best. | ||

Well I agree with you there, I have never heard of a woman that "didn't know" that wasn't a young girl who lacked maturirty. So is this a huge suprise for your uncle and aunt? Do they even have anythign for a baby yet?

I'll have to find out more, it's my DH extended family. His cousin daughter is the mother. I wish I had know I just sold all my baby stuff a few weeks ago. It was unisex and boy but it would have been a start. | ||

right. I mean even if they are financially able to run out and buy all the needed, its a lot of work to do.

Well I found out late in all of my pregnancies because I still have my period but once you feel the butterfly movements at about 4 months you just know.

thats what i am thinking. Yes there are the rare women who still bleed so I can see that but...
