Default Living With Sister

Hi All.
My name is Sally from the Uk.

I would appreiciate some advice please!

10 years ago my Mum died. I was 25 at the time with 2 young children (4 + 1).

My father is an alcoholic and used to beat my Mum and me.
I left home at 16.

Anyway, when my Mum died I took custody of her. No protest from father.

To cut a long story short, I have now cared for her for a long time, she is 21 in April. I feel i have always done the best for her.

We are arguing alot recently and she seems to have issues constantly. But she always seems to blame other people for her behaviour.
she can be quite rude and ignorant sometimes.

There have been alot of situations that have upset me. I could bore you for hours!!!

Anyway, it has come to a point where i feel enough is enough, and have suggested to her that maybe it's time she made her own way in life....
I don't want it to reach the point of no return with us never talking again. Have i done the right thing?

She does spend most of her time at her boyfriends anyway.

She is of course saying things like "just say if you want me to go"

Default Re: Living With Sister

I would tell her something along the lines of "You're an adult now, and I think it would be better for you to get out on your own, and make your own way in the world, instead of relying on me."
