At one stage I think I saw my parents less than every couple of months.
Things change, time moves on, priorities shift.
Now I see my parents more than anyone - we takes the kids there every weekend for dinner...
I agree with everyone here. My story is 180 degrees different: we were (usually) respectful with each other while I was going through all that, but the basic underlying cause of my depression, lack of direction, was what was causing the troubles in my life. When I sorted myself out my parents were waiting for me. I guess I always knew that. |
