Natalee Holloway is her name. I used to actually live close to her, but we moved to Hoover. Her family lives in Mountain Brook.

It's actually very common for people in Hoover/Mountain Brook/Vestavia Hills to allow their kids to go on the senior trip. Personally, and I know this is disrespectful, but I think she made a really stupid decision. And her friends should have intervened.

My senior trip was to Cabo San Lucas. The whole point is to have fun without adults. A lot do drink, but I can't say that's a bad thing. If a kid is determined to do something, they are going to do it regardless. I was by no means a troublesome teenager, but like my dad had some stupid rules. All of my rules had to do with boys .

In the end I think it comes down to choices. She made a bad one and anyone whether they be 18 or 25 could have made the same one.

True, i still would never pay to send my senior out of the country, unless they were backpacking through Europe or something like that.
