I found a couple of things that worked for me (and worked for other people that I know):
1. Never let your stomach get empty. As hard as it is when you feel bad, try nibbling on a cracker, taking sips of Ginger Ale, anything to make sure your stomach has something in it. ICE COLD Pepsi really seemed to help my stomach for some reason.
2. Get some ginger into your system. Ginger Ale (that truly has a hint of ginger in it), ginger candies and any other way you can get ginger into you will help. Ginger really helps to calm stomachs.
