If you are accustomed to working with these types of people, then you should know that people with mental illnesses have increased likelihood of abusing drugs and alcohol, and that these things cannot be blamed on but only related to these problems. There is no way for you to link problems like that back to one single thing, like pot. Also you weren't there, and you cannot prove that pot is the only thing they did, and not some other drugs or who knows what else. My boyfriend smoked pot everyday twice a day from the time he was 13 till he was probably about 17 or 18. He's an extremely functional man who goes to work full time, fixes the car, helps me clean the house, and comes home to change diapers. Do you suppose I could blame weed for him being so great?

(just trying to point out how much sense that makes) Just cause weed makes you goofy while you smoke it, doesn't mean that when a mental problem shows up later that you can say "Hm, the weed must have gotten stuck in there".
When I say some people get "stupid" from it, I mean the forty year old burnouts that have been smoking everyday since they were kids and they don't have PROBLEMS, they're just... duuuuh.
