Default Re: Anything wrong with pedialyte?

Unless he is sweating, vomiting, or has diarrhea..do not give him pedialyte. It replenishes his electrolytes..(sodium, potassium, etc) and if he ends up with an overload of them it could essentially stop his heart. Sorry I'm not trying to be dramatic, I don't know if any babies have gotten sick from pedialyte in the way you are using it but electrolyte replacement is what it's for and too many will stop a person's heart.
