I don't think that you're talking about the right type of gun..cap guns are toys (literally) they make no damage they just make a noise. Or maybe you are talking about the right one and they're illegal to anyone under 16 over there..which would really surprise me but then again there's a million things I don't know lol..
As for the sole topic in this thread, I think yay..there's no issue with toy guns in my home, and my son has known for years that real guns make people go "bye bye" forever..but I agree, the threat of violence is all in the parenting!

We have cap guns, I can't think what we call them here, they are the only type of gun that doesn't require a license in the UK but most shops wont sell them to anyone under 16.
