Default Worried about a child I know.

    Hello everyone.

These past few months, a lot have happened in my life. But the one good thing that happened was, me getting a new job.

It's been 2 months now that I'm working as a kindergarten teacher. The job is really fun and I feel fortunate to come across so many children and guide them to the best. However, there is one child in my group about whom I'm really worried about. He is just 4 years old and his parents are getting divorced. He is taken care of by his grandmother. The child is however aware that there is something going wrong around the family, yet he is not completely understanding the situation. Obviously, cause he is just a child. But this confusion is distressing him and he is becoming pretty violent in school. The other day he just smacked another student and broke his teeth, just cause he was touching his notebook. We had to rush the child for an emergency dental treatment here in Toronto, as the child was bleeding bad.

We complained to the child's parents on his behavior at school. But I'm guessing since, this is the condition of his family, there won't be much attention given to this case.

Being his teacher, I really want to help him out. But I don't know how. Could anyone please advice me.
