Highly Disappointed

so tday was supposed to be hays birthday party with all of our friends (supposed to be about 16 ppl)....and it was gonna start at 3.....its now 5 15 and NO ONE showed....!! Im so upset and so hurt. I made food, and i also made a ginormous iggle piggle cake out of cupcakes...mine and petes best friends are coming at 630 after our friend (the husband) is off work.....i just cant even begin to express how disappointed i am...i had ONE person message me and say they couldnt make it im so ready to cry, and not for me, but for hayleigh!!! Thank the lord that she doesnt understand disappointment yet..

I agree. I would be pissed if they didnt even have the courtesy to call.

Most of the B-day's the kids go to are must rsvp. Usually we have them somewere like the pool or park. Where it hard for the kids to keep track of how many people came. We do this mainly to keep expenses down and so we dont have a trashed house after its over. I would be tempted to guilt trip the hell out of them and then make them believe I was giving away a plasma tv or something as a door prize.

I wish I could say or do something that would make you feel better. If I had been there we would come even if I had to tromped through 10' of snow to get there.

We are lucky that there is a core group of neighbors around us all with the same age kids, so everyone is pretty much obligated to go to everyone else's.

no wasnt relatives!! we had a get together dinner thing with granparents last night! Thanks bryan and ECD. im like still writhing in annoyance. oh well, i just wont try as hard to please everyone that doesnt deserve it...ya know ?

That's messed up I would be so mad!!! I'm so sorry ilu!!! What a terrible day. If we lived closer, we would have come too!! I can't believe they didn't even call! >:[

Ugh I would be so frustrated, mad, and annoyed. It seems that when my sons were younger a few years ago, parents had more courtesy when it came to RSVPing or alerting a host of any change in plans. I think more and more people have become more casual or selfish.

yeh. i did an invite over facebook, so 9 pppl plus spouses and including kids rsvp'd back. It seems that all the friends and ppl i know that llive in the US or another province would have gladly come, but the ppl i thought were my friends decided it was cool to just not show up at all.....ugh....im gonna wait for people to talk to me, cuz if i talk to them, im gonna give em the third degree sob story, cuz i wasted like 100 bucks on food and cake and stuff that wasnt eaten ! bah.! Thanks for the support guys/gals!!! i really appreciate it <3

but ya got leftovers! yuummy! nothing taste better than leftovers. well, that depends on what they are. also now ya don't need to worry bout shopping for snacks for a while.
we have been happy to bring her a new baby doll or a noisy truck.
yeah, its sad that no one came. but atleast hayleigh is young enough to not understand it yet.

So i found out today why a good friend of mine and her son and husband never came to hayleigh's party yesterday....

Her husband is leaving her!!! im in total shock!!
