As the parent of a 9 year old girl and 18 year old boy, I would love to hear opinions on this topic ......

Why don't they just use normal ones?

You shouldn't have to ask this question but here goes......a young boys penis is not the same size as an adult males.
Now here is my take...I am surprised it has taken this long.....it's a scary thought...but better safe then sorry.

If you haven't noticed, I am a male, and yes they are, unless they are the word record holder for the latest onset of puberty.

No they aren't, 12 year olds (a lot of them) have not hit puberty yet. Therefore have not gone through those changes.

I have noticed , but a boy of 12 does not have the same size as a boy of 16/17, plus not all boys hit puberty at that age, some are later and some are sooner. Lets not forget not all males are well indowed......nature isn't always nice and some guys get the shorth end of the stick., so now we will have mini condoms to go right besides the magnums.

This whole idea is repulsive. Pretty sick minds out there.
Here's an idea - how about teaching children that abstinence is the best way to avoid pregnancies and diseases? Nah, guess that would be too sensible.

Re: Mini-Condoms for 12-Year-Olds?!
having read the article, it seems that all they are doing is marketing a product that already exists differently. They are called slim fit here. If there are boys and girls that young (12) managing to have sex then they should be able to protect themselves. Every parent knows that forbidding can only go so far and that some kids are moe determined than others. I wonder though if the problem is embarrasment and thus the kids wont get them anyway.
