Attention all my PF friends.

We have activated the Roaming Thread feature. Very Very cool. It requires a 5 post min to activate. The feature allows you to post Pic's directly from your cell phone to a thread at PF.

I know some of you are saying "well Bs I only have a older model phone that takes picks but does not have web capabilities." Wrongo Bongo. You can still use these phones to post pic's.

Some of you are saying "Well Bs I dont have a camera phone so I cant use it." I say "Neigh. Neigh. You can also upload directly from you computer (bypassing the photo bucket's ect)

The Official tutorial is pretty good.

A couple of things.

The first part of the "how to" is bordered in green. This is pretty much garbage. Keep scrolling down the meat and potato's of "how to" is below that.

When it says to reply using this address. If I simply click the reply button on the original message it wont work (for me) I have to click the hyperlink text of the address which brings up the window to attach the picture in.

If you have a older phone that will text and take pic's you will need to scroll down to near the bottom of the tutorial. It gives instructions for using those type of phones. It looks pretty simple. But I havent tried it out yet.

Some of you may be saying "Bs you are a idiot. How can you figure out technical stuff like this?" I say correctamundo. That only proves how simple it really is

I have been using it for several days. I still stumble from time to time. But I think I can trouble shoot if you need help. And if you do you may as well make it a reply to this thread. And we can create a FAQ for other users.

yeah its pretty tough stuff. everyone should stay away. Dont feel bad not everyone can be as smart as me. You should push the little on/off button on the computer. Let go of the mouse (the button thingy that you push the arrow thingy around with) Climb up the telypone pole. have the operator dial Mr Haney. Have him bring you a poto grapher. Then you can take the pettycoat hand cart inta du big city and show off yer Sunday best to Jed and granny,

And hey. It takes a little time for the picture to show up. about a couple of minutes

okay, just so Bryan's head doesn't explode, I tried emailing a reply roaming post with a pic from my hard drive. It hasn't shown up, but I'll try a couple of things over the next day or so....I'm not a big picture guy...

I thiiiiiink you may have to do the roaming thread before you can do the post.

It wouldnt let me go back and redo my first "roaming thread" I wanted to see it again. But I think you first roaming "THREAD" sets things up and you should not have to reenter the info again. Thread before Post I think.
