Anyone else utilize the wii fit?
We recently bought a wii fit- for me. I have been wanting one for months. And my 6 year old LOVES it! He does it with me everyday, which I like because it keeps me going everyday. But I am so impressed with the games for the fit, you really feel it the next day, but it's fun while doing it.
I also noticed that since we got it and have been using it, he is not asking to play the wii video games nearly as much.
Anyone else use and like it?

no we go to the gym every afternoon but i guess we won't be able to do that when we have the girls so this might not be a bad alternative because they can do it too.. fitness is very important to us

we have one and it's collecting dust, which is ashame because we liked it very much when we were using it. Yes, I like the way it interacts with you, the yoga stuff seems especially challenging and instructional to me, and you're right kids love it.
It's been a rough year for our schedules, and we're in the process of making fitness a priority once again. Wii'll have to dust it off!

We have one. I don't really use it too much because I go to the gym or go running but Amber uses it a lot. So does Jon, Dane, and Kaitlyn.

Re: Anyone else utilize the wii fit?
We've got a wii, but we don't have the Fitness program. Don't really need it myself, seeing as how I'm 40 lbs underweight, but it sounds like something my daughter would like. She prefers the wii fighthing games, so I'd much rather she use something like the Fitness.
Don't you need a balance board or something for it? I've thought about getting it before but I didn't know if it would be any good. Sounds like it is though.

I saw a story this week that the American Heart Association is teaming up with Nintendo and letting them promote the Wii as a healthy choice. It's a new approach to fighting childhood obesity.

I personally don't have one but a friend of mine uses one for yoga and boxing (I think) and absolutely loves it. It registers very small differences in weight and performance so she gets so excited every time she loses a bit of weight.
Sounds like a very good thing to have. Especially for people with a time or budget crunch.

Re: Anyone else utilize the wii fit?
Hey there, The best part about the wii and wii fit/exercise/sports type games for my family is using it in the winter when its too cold to go outdoors! My kids go nuts with out the opportunity to burn off energy outside! I personally enjoy using it for exercise, but don't think its enough for me to really get "in shape." We also love how all the members of our family can play together at the same time. It truly seems to be the best video gaming system for family interaction and movement beyond finger exercising with button mashing.
