Default Sun screen...

I know its common sense...
But just as a reminder....USE SUN SCREEN this summer....especially on the little ones...

I uh...got the bikini out for the first time this season 2 days ago and I am already 1/3 of the way to being darker than most the mexicans in colorado....

Actually I am bright red ATM but in two days, i'll be pretty dark...

First day no sun screen...today...sunscreen and tanning oil...Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil...the GOOD stuff...

ouch 2.jpg Yeah...its much worse than it looks...

I might add to this... make sure you use sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB. I don't know which is which, but one of them makes you go red, but the other one can still give you skin cancer. Many sunscreens only stops you going red, but that isn't enough, especially for a little kid.

Cop2Be - get some cream - something with lots of Vitamin E, and keep putting on more until your skin stops absorbing it. (LOL, when you have a thin, sticky white layer all over your back, you can stop -yes, its pretty gross). A few hours later when its gone, repeat. Its the quickest way to get rid of sunburn. You may need the help of a friend or your mom or someone here...

I really love the new spray-on kind of sunscreen.
LOL where I live, if you don't put it on and you go outside and walk across the yard, your skin will already be peeling by the time you get back, but if you do put it on, you'll get so covered in sand you look like a Spider-man villian.

I have bought three different brands of suncream to try on my DD's but they dry their skin out, they are left with red itchy marks where the cream has been applied.

Called our Doctor for advice but she could'nt (IMO be bothered to) explain why this happened. Next step visit the pharmacist to see if they can help.

Luckily the weather in Scotland is'nt constant sunshine and their skin has a chance to heal.

My poor babies .

It may be different in England but here you can call the doctor and describe the symptoms, sometimes they will give you a prescription or they may ask you to go see them if they think it may be something serious.

lol Cop2be, what is that your armpit? In a towel after a shower?

My doctor will occasionally do that as well, meand3. She'll call me in a perscription for a UTI if I need her to. She knows I know when I have one. And I've always called them to ask about problems with Eli, especially when he was a baby. They would always talk to me and try to help me solve the problem, and if it was serious they would have me come in.

I think it makes life so much easier xero, they can put your mind at ease especially when it comes to the kiddies.

Jeremy, has your doctors got an emergency surgery where you queue to see the doctor, the telephone consultation is an alternative to that.
