Car accident
my friends and i went on a road trip from Perth to Albany (400km) on the weekend and on te way back we got into a car accident i am pretty battered and bruised but other than that i am okay. i have pretty big bruises on my breasts that are making breast feeding very painful. lucky Alegra is no longer a new born. i have massive seat belt marks on my chest and bruises up my legs so i cant really walk but other than that I'm okay, we're just lucky it wasn't worse i guess.... the driver pretty much just has injuries caused by the air bag and the front passenger broke her foot. but we are all alive which is the main thing... i just wanted to let you know

Re: Car accident
Something similar happened to my wife when she was breast feeding Jack, you can get breast feeding safe medications to relax your breasts, so the muscles relaxes and pain reduces.

Re: Car accident
Wishing you a speedy recovery! I am sorry to hear about the accident and glad to hear that no one was more seriously injured. Take it easy and give yourself some time to heal. It's a very scary thing to be in a car accident.

Re: Car accident
I asked my wife what the medication was, she can't remember, but really talk to your doctor on your follow up, they'll be able to help you out.
You can massage bruises as well, which at first is a bit uncomfortable, but it does make them more comfortable.

That's so terrible Antoinette!! How scary!!! I'm so sorry that happened to you, and I'm so glad that everyone survived. I feel bad that you're hurt though, that sucks. I hope you heal up soon.

Re: Car accident
thank you all for your well wishes..
i am pretty much just resting at the moment, my older sister is staying with me to help out with Felix and Alegra she has two kids of her own who are now 10 and 7 who are staying too but they are being very helpful. it's just until i can move around properly again.
and yes i will ask my doctor about that medication because i don't want to have to stop breast feeding because of this she is only 4 months, i breast fed Felix for 6 and then he went onto solids and i pumped breast milk into a bottle to make it easier to feed on the go. but it hurts too much to even do that for Alegra right now.. thanks Jeremy.
